Designed by Harriet Turley of Lola & Masey Interiors, this shared bedroom was created for grandchildren aged two to six — a space full of fun, imagination, creativity and colour, while remaining highly practical. It needed to suit different ages, both girls and boys, and function as both a bedroom and a playroom.

The brief was an immersive, circus-inspired scheme that felt joyful and theatrical without becoming overwhelming, carefully balancing magic with longevity.

At the heart of the room are bespoke pom-pom beds. Upholstered in hard-wearing velvets, their soft, rounded forms create cocooning comfort and a quiet grandeur, while adding colour and texture. Thoughtfully considered details, including low-level design and integrated safety sides, ensure the beds are both stylish and robust — forming a comforting retreat by night and an inspiring backdrop for play by day.
